Bush lied about his AWOL status, that much we know. The fact that he got into the Guard champagne unit and was able to bug out so easily was obviously because his father was head of the RNC at the time, like Enron Ed Gillespie is now. I'm sure Gillespie could get his kid out of the Guard now, if he had such a son. Of course, no top level Bushie ever lets his son serve in harm's way. That's for poor people, real heros like Kerry and minorities.
