The Press should get some refreshing new proposals to argue about next week.

Both parties may wish to end the Vietnam discussions, but I question whether the liberal press will allow either party to forget.
Its just too juicy a subject to ignore.

Continual talk about it implies that the Iraq venture may end the same way, even if one of the events is a quarter century in the past and entirely unrelated.

"The Bush people aren't constructing a reported 14 permanent military bases in Iraq with the intention of "being asked to leave." "

They expected to be greeted with flowers as well. Reality bites and minds and plans can be changed. The question still remains as to whether kerry will be any better. As you say "there must be some reason why both sides of the aisle seem to have gotten behind this "adventure." " Kerry will have to prove to the country how tough he is while bush will have to prove to the country how flexible he is. Back to square 1. If Dean were sane he may have been the better choice for anti-war folks. Mike
