What you perceive as treason, I may see as survival. The entire history of the world from the beginning until now has been about exploitation. Blood has flowed frequently & constantly for many silly reasons & deities. I believe that is just a human trait that comes with power. You are either on the side of the exploiters or you are the exploited. Survival is a strong instinct and somebody is always trying to kill you.
