A thought posed to me in the 90's was that China would be our America's next major struggle beyond the Mid East. A friend went to China on an escorted tour for a pleasure trip and was told by the Chinese interpreters when he inadvertently saw a tank at a site that it was there only as an historical artifact. (This person was not suppose to see the tank and knew that this was not so that the tank was for action.) So as an investor----I keep looking at China and ask the question are we helping them only to have them turn against us in the future. There is always the balance of power and the shifting balance of power. mj
