If the press can do this for this situation, what have they done in the past, and what will they do in the future....

Our lives are at stake. Literally.

We have all been assuming we are in a coccoon.
Since that thought came up here a few days, I have been asking folks all around me, the waitress at the coffee shop, my barber, two cops, neighbors, the Thursday poker group, and others. I am pleasantly surprised that they are as well informed as they are.
Yesterday I went to the N Idaho State Fair for lunch. I saw lots of folks leaving with Bush/Cheney bumper stickers and yard signs. I saw none for Kerry. Ditto in my neighborhood. Bush signs started appearing last week.

It's a scary reality few folks want to contemplate the
genuine repercussions of. The elite media certainly won't
anytime soon, that's for sure.

Tom Brokaw on "Meet the Press" this morning referred to the SwiftVets as "Swift Boat Veterans for Bush."

The traditional media spinmeisters keep on keeping on.

It's a sometimes subtle, sometimes not-so-subtle attempt to color and spin the story.
