"The media hid these atrocities from the American public, because they knew it would offend most people and undermine support for the war." factcheck.org; The problem with Annenberg's Factchecks is that they are too anal........they take too long to make their point and the differences are so subtle it would take a razor blade to separate them. By the time you have finished, their effectiveness has been somewhat dissipated and you can't remember what the main issue was in the first place. Having said all that, I agree with Fatcheck that the Swifties have intentionally misrepresented what Kerry did back in 1971. However, that's exactly what the GOP and K. Rove are famous for.....distorting the facts just enough to make the situation different from what it really is. Its called dirty politics. ted
