Those are good. You have to read them twice. I think we're all doing great. And since we've agreed that at least WE are going to take certain liberties with words, heck, don't mess up your poem by putting those < > things around your liberties.

I had to ask N what a language poet was, exactly. I mean, I could guess, but wanted to be sure. If he's right, I refuse to be that. no no no .

Will you give us brief explications of the poetry-analysis terms you use?

Don't tell me to google, I won't. Turbotax is my excuse. Plus, the two weeks of accumulated mail from our trip... I've made hardly a dent in it.

When I find a seed sentence, it's going to have some pronouns in it, and more verbs. humph.

I'm going to explicate my cold water poem later so you won't thing it was like language poetry.

Oh hell, I've wasted too much time on this already.

New York overlooking
Boston last month: certainly
Metropolitan!

Very difficult, Poet, to come up with a non-political haiku given that weed paragraph. Or was that seed paragraph? I spent more than an hour trying to come up with something about ancient political art at the New Dendur Art Museum. Gave up.
