Lehman is a hardcore Republican. All he says is he doesn't remember something. Bottomline, Kerry never lied, faked a thing or was otherwise dishonorable, but the rightwing is being VERY dishonorable now as McCain says, just as they were when Karl Rove slandered Cleland and McCain the same way, with bald-faced lies, innuendos and character attacks without merit. Every single SmearVet charge has been debunked by someone closer to the action and this time it will be no exception. Kery is a very honest guy. He would never make up a medal. Did he want medals? Sure, what soldier doesn't. But did he deserve them? Absolutely.

Kerry deserved all his medals absolutely and never lied about them. In fact, the only thing slightly dishonest I have ever seen Kerry say was that he was around the border of Cambodia instead of Cambodia proper on or about Xmas day. And so what? Where was Bush? Going AWOL? Snorting cocaine? Knocking up girls and getting drunk? One thing we know is Bush was avoiding the war like the plague and using his daddy's name to do it. Anyone who went to Cambodia up those rivers was in a very-very dangerous place. One of Kerry's jobs was ferrying LURPS, Green Berets and SEALS on top secret CIA missions behind enemy lines, probably part of the Phoenix Program which was an assassination program using terrorist methods including beheadings, disembowlments and so forth. It was like Abu Graib. They did this because the local religion was so horrified by it. No Buddhist can reach Nirvana without his head on, for instance.
