Oh, I have no doubt that the majority of the world views Bush unfavorably. On the Olympic telecast today, they were careful to point out that the protests were directed at Powell's visit, and not US athletes or visitors. Many people of the world are able to separate their distrust of and disgust with Bush from their views of America (although that seems to be more problematic in the Middle East, where they have seen years of our support of Israel).

I used to wonder if this world opinion of him bothered Bush. Then, I heard that Bush doesn't read, so he is probably unaware of it. He only gets vetted information fed by Rice and Rove, so he is probably blissfully unaware that the rest of the world thinks that the US is amongst the biggest threats to world peace.

Of course, at least he is fully up to speed on pet goats...
