As shown by what you are being fed by your puppet masters, the high-speed revisionist Leninism of the anti-American left has been in high gear since "Unfit" hit the bookstands. So far they haven't laid a glove on O'Neill or any of his associates or collaborators. They won't. O'Neill has been on this personal crusade for 33 years, and he's seen it all. That's why they have their pet monkeys like Wesley Clark and Howard Dean screaming that "Bush is behind this." It's easy to see, for anyone (like CYBERKEN) who has watching the domestic enemy for decades, that his is their last desperate line of defense. The Bush campaign has nothing to do with the Swiftboat Vets and couldn't stop them if they tried (and it would be unwise to try. The bombast about FEC complaints and lawsuits by both sides is pure vapor.) The smart Democrat strategists are sitting this year out, so Kerry is not likely to ask them about it. What they would all have said is "Dummy UP and let this all go away. Bush isn't talking about it, so YOU don't have to." Hopefully, it won't occur to Kerry that this is his only reasonable option until he hears the Torricelliists beating down his door. And by then it's too late...
