Here are the bullet points:

1. According to a Kerry biography written by the Boston Globe reports, Swift Boats were considered safe at the time.

2. "Kerry also believed a swift boat assignment would keep him away from the frontlines of combat"--this is a direct quote from the Globe biography.

3. "At the time, the swift boats had very little to do with the war"--Kerry wrote this in his 1986 contribution to "The Vietnam Experience".

4. "The swift boats were engaged in coastal patrolling and that's what I thought I was going to be doing. Although I wanted to see for myself what was going on in Vietnam, I didn't really want to get involved in the combat of the war"--in "The Vietnamn Experience".

5. William Franck said from Coastal 11 said, "While Kerry was an outspoken critic of the war to the point of being characterized as a perpetual whiner".

6. "He was constantly objecting to the war. He objected that he had to serve in the canals repeatedly demanding to be transferred back to the much safer duty of coastal patrol."--William Franck.
