He instead has all along pointed to his policies on terrorism. Since Bush, the man, has done nothing wrong that we know while in office, I think it unfair to attack him in the personal way leftists have been attacking him since he took office. This includes attacking personal history that has no relationship to the law, his role or public policies. I have never once thought it unfair to attack Bush's policies, though I may disagree with the attacks. Heck, I myself have vigorously attacked Bush on policy. I think, for example, his view on immigration is just plain moronic. I think his "Islam is peace" claim is just pure politics (i.e. just plain crap). And I have said these things right here, repeatedly and without reservation. Nevertheless because Bush, the man, has thus far conducted himself honorably, I have no basis to attack the guy as you have. Leftists are being dishonorable. There is just no other way to look at the thing. Bush's military records are irrelevant here because they serve as the basis for neither his campaign nor his policies. Demanding them is just an attempt to wage yet another dishonorable personal attack on the guy. So I will leave that to people like you - people who have no self-respect, no honor or integrity - people who are quite essentially un-American. Getting at the truth beneath Kerry's Vietnam record is not only legitimate, it is an absolute requirement. Had Kerry not run on Vietnam, I scarcely doubt this story would have even the slightest bit of traction. But since Kerry is claiming Vietnam makes him worthy to be President, his opponents absolutely must try to get at the truth concerning his role in that war and its aftermath. Again, Vietnam is the credential upon which Kerry now relies to justify why he should be president. America now has a duty to vet him first on the basis of that credential, then on all else. The fastest and easiest way for America to accomplish this is to have Kerry sign the 180. If Kerry will not officially verify his volunteered basis of his own campaign, then there is just no choice for his opponents but to dump on him until either he signs the form or is politically ruined. Now I've made some wondrously good sense here in this post. You know it is all true without even one fault. But you are a leftist, and we all know leftists are liars. So you will ignore the truth. That is okay.
