i am just curious,

The doctor at the base when Kerry got his first scratch refused to sign off on it. So did his CO. He faked it through some three months later. No paperwork on how he did it has ever been released. I think he did it as a "oh by the way," with one of the staff guys later, since the paperwork from the first pinprick already existed.

That doctor had shipped out by the time of the next two.

When you are wounded a tag is filled out and forwarded through medical channels. It can be initiated by a Dr or a corpsman (medic). Kerry an officer likely got a corpsman to sign a tag (or signed it himself) and sent it through medical channels, bypassing his chain of command.

We need to see his records. he won't release them.

<<purple heart doctor(s) for kerry?>>

Basically from what I've read is Kerry shot himself twice in the ass and wanted to go home and so did the people he served with.
