LIAR! Gardner was ordered to cease fire. That has been the undisputed fact until this election season where Bush was behind and needed his people to find rightwing vets to smear Kerry. Gardner killed the child. I was mistaken and thought it was four people but it was just one child. This is apparently why Gardner has mental problems, because he disobeyed an order and killed a child. He claims not to have heard the order but that was just his defense out of fear of court martial.

Not sure why Kerry would lie about that, if he did lie. From what I understand that kind of thing can easily happen in a war situation. I know a vet Vietnam Vet who still feels guilty about injuring a child he was trying hand a can food to from off a moving truck. Just think about the friendly fire incidents. Could Kerry have turned down the medal if he felt he didn't earn it? Very bad situation.
