McCain is not a rightwinger. He has opposed Bush just as much as he's supported him. He stopped the gay marriage ban, ANWAR drilling, the Bush corrupt energy bill, you name it. McCain is a moderate conservative whom I have little argument with. Not a single current major rightwing leader has ever served in combat. If you can think of someone it'll be a first. I can think of no one. And no, Powell is not a rightwinger either.
