Schacte is lying because he gave $2000 to Bush yet claims to be non-partisan.

Kerry's crewmates deny Schacte was even on the boat.

However if indeed Schacte was there and Kerry was wounded by shrapnel blowback from a grenade launcher, big deal. Kerry has never claimed what wounded him because he may not even know. Schacte isn't contradicting Kerry except to claim ther was no enemy fire. Sound familiar? same lie Thurlow told which has been debunked.

However he may be telling the truth about the blowback. It was night at the time and I doubt Kerry even knows what hit him. How does an M-79 grenade blow back shrapnel? Possible maybe but not likely.

Also, two other crewmen onboard agree with Kerry that it was one of the most chilling nights of their lives. How could it be so chilling if Schacte is right and there were no enemy firing? And how the hell does Shacte know ther were no enemy if he himself was firing at enemy on the bank along with Kerry? Maybe they killed the enemy. Did he ever think of that? Schacte has no credibility because he's been contradicted and gave $2000 to Bush despite claiming he's non-partisan. $2000 is a lot of money. That type donation makes you VERY partisan.
