"until and unless these accusations are decisively refuted."

All of the available records support Kerry's side and not the swift boat vets. I suppose it is possible that Kerry wrote all of them, but there were supposed to be two people generating each report. So, not only did he generate those reports, he'd have to convince the other person that the events depicted actually happened. And at the same time, he'd have to've rode herd on all the others to keep them from talking about the events that happened differently, rumors at odds with the official records would've raised suspicions and probably triggered an investigation. Especially if his tour involved medals like a Silver Star.

CJ, its not worth the bandwidth. Its a game that the GOP in general, and Tim and DR and on the thread are playing. They know the truth but are working over time to discredit Kerry in any way they can. Kerry made too much headway in the polls.......and they are scared that they may lose this one. Personally, I think the tactic will backfire in their faces......I think it has already started but if it doesn't and Americans fall for it, then they deserve everything they get with four more years of Bush.

Even McCain has joined the chorus this morning. In the end, they are all partisan to the core and stand by each other when heaping the slime at an opponent. Of course, like rabid animals, from time to time they turn on each other......now that's fun to watch. <g>

It should be notable that the ones that served directly with Kerry, except for one guy, all support Kerry's version of event.

That simply isn't true. A lot of people who didn't serve on his boat di "serve directly with Kerry", the boats where often used together often at very close quarters and the majority of people who served in his boat units are against Kerry.

As for offical documentation it isn't very extensive, or at least what is available to the public isn't very extensive, there are different versions of it that tell different stories and at least some of it was written by Kerry while a lot of it was influenced by Kerry's accounts.

If Kerry's story is 100% true he could release the information that would really support his case but he hasn't done so.
