I'm in the Tampa area but am from WPB and still have a lot of family there. It doesn't look like to me like that area is likely to get hit, I think it'll turn north and slam SC.

We'll have a better idea later in the week.

It surprises me that I never see any mention of possibly trying to disrupt these storms while out over the ocean.

A category 5 hit on Fort Lauderdale would cost 50 billion to the insurance industry. Is there no conceivable technique to disrupt the eye of a hurricane?
