Bcb, have you checked out Cspan's coverage of the NYC protesters. It sounded more like a protest to the protest because all I could hear was "go home" shouted at the marchers and "4 more yrs". After about 20min the marchers in a lightening swift reaction<g> shouted "Bush" after the Repubs yelled "go home". Many of the banners were anti-abortion slogans. So, how many of the marchers are authentic anti-bush protesters? Many are in fact Bush supporters. A commentator noted that today protesters in NYC are marching in much closer proximity to the GOP convention delegates than those who attempted to protest the DNC convention in Boston. The anti-Kerry groups were discouraged from their planned demonstrations against his candidacy, because the DNC restricted their protest area far from the actual Democrat convention hall. Conclusion: GOP allows freedom of speech while the DNC suppresses that right.
