A sophisticated LA reporter goes to Tulsa.

Tulsa is the home of Oral Roberts University.

Increased Threat Level

We are beginning a hazardous week, indeed a hazardous 2 months.
Threats have been identified and squelched. Others have been identified and continue to exist. Warnings have been issued. The color-code has been elevated for specific locales. Security is in place.

Is that sufficient to ensure your survival of a terrorist attack?

The answer is no. And be aware that though NYC is getting a lot of attention, the threat is nation-wide.

We are all vulnerable and all of us should have taken certain precautions by now. If you have not, and are in or around NYC this week. I have a few easy suggestions:
Keep your gas tank full.
Keep cash in your car and on your person. ATMs and credit cards do not work without electricity.
Keep a couple of gallons of water in your car along with a blanket.
In the event a significant terror attack occurs in or near your neighborhood, leave immediately. If you wait for the authorities to figure it out and advise you to leave, you will be frozen by gridlock.
