we are going to look ridiculous if we aren't actively involved in telling the story of what happened in the 2004 election.

And unfortunately for them, it no longer takes a generation for the truth to come out and make them look ridiculous. This time, the "them" really IS "them".

Even in the smallest items the press is not balanced.

From the Sunday San Jose Mercury News reprinting of the NY Times Bestseller list.

"1 American Soldier ...
2 My Life ...
3 Unfit For Command ...
4 Bushworld ..."

Oops, we forgot to format our text consistently. Just once out of 40 books. Sure is handy that it makes that nasty book title sink into the gray background.

I tried to find if it was based on the first week on the list. Nope, other debut books had their titles bolded.

What some (most?) in the media DON'T understand is it isn't JUST the Vets who are ""p*ssed at him for 35 years"... In addition to the Vets, there were MANY MANY Americans who were just Americans and believed in truth, honesty, integrity, and all the other things Americans believe in, that were furious with Kerry, Fonda and the like as well.

Our soldiers were still at war, and fighting and dying in the unpopular war. Our 2 Presidents, JFK and LBJ, plus the Democratic Senate and House majority had sent them there. THEN didn't fund them.

If Kerry and Fonda truly wanted to make a difference then, they could have said that out loud to everyone who would listen. But NO....they didn't. They said terrible things about the soldiers instead. The soldiers represented the people of America.

That is why there is so much support for the SBVFT ....

But what if chapter two was the story of Kerry making Vietnam the centerpiece of his candidacy setting off an out-of-nowhere takedown by a bunch of veterans who have been pissed off at him for 35 years? No, no way could that be the story! We aren't going to talk about that. No, no… wait a minute. Check out these polls! The ads are making an impression. The ads are seriously wounding Kerry. This looks like the turning point of the whole campaign, and it seems that from here Kerry will fall into defeat. This is chapter 2 of the history of the 2004 election, and we are going to look ridiculous if we aren't actively involved in telling the story of what happened in the 2004 election. Time to pile on John Kerry! Our interests have now officially diverged.
