I seriously doubt that will happen. Poor job performance will go down on his record and those who can't think beyond a sound bite or look further into the numbers will shout Yee-haaa, Bush lost jobs!!! On the other hand, a thinking person will look into the numbers and try to come up with an honest analysis. Bush inherited the bursting of the Y2K stock market bubble, corporate accounting scandals and 9/11. The seeds on these events which were planted in previous administrations. Bush has done an incredible job economically of overcoming these disasters and if it weren't for his aggressive easing of monetary policy, even more jobs would have been lost and the recession he inherited would have gone on for several years. Dr. Mark M. Zandi, Chief Economist at Economy.com (a leading independent provider of economic data and analysis) has stated that "The economic impact of the combined monetary and fiscal stimulus has been substantial. Indeed, if monetary and fiscal policy had remained unchanged during the Bush Presidency, the recession that began in early 2001 and ended later in the year, would have likely instead lasted through much of 2003. The economy would still be losing jobs." Now, in the spirit of fairness, those fiscal policies would have never happened if the Democrats in Congress didn't approve them. Thankfully, they had the wisdom to know Bush was doing the right thing and the economy and job market has improved. Bush will be credited with the worst job growth record in history but that doesn't tell, "the rest of the story." It takes a thinker to know the truth. The report by Dr Zandi, "Assessing President Bush's Fiscal Policies" was printed in July 2004 and may be able to be purchased at this site.economy.com Perception vs substance! It would help if we spent more time on substance than perception. The substance behind the poor job growth numbers clearly shows that Bush has overcome adversity and is willing to do what's right. dabum
