Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson to launch movement against Israeli occupation

newindpress.com;

JERUSALEM: Mahatma Gandhi's grandson, Arun Gandhi, is to kick off an unarmed Palestinian movement against Israeli occupation which is being launched by a group of social and political activists in Ramallah.

Gandhi, head of the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Non-Violence in the US, will be the star attraction at three mass rallies planned in Ramallah, Abu Dis and Bethlehem on August 26.

The campaign is being organised by a group of Palestinian social and political activists in Ramallah, who have joined hands with anti-fence activists, NGOs, and Fatah activists headed by minister without portfolio and Fatah member Kadura Fares in the wake of the International Court of Justice's ruling, condemning the construction of the West Bank barrier by Israel.

Gandhi told daily Ha'aretz from the US that he intends "to promote the philosophy of non-violence, the approach that non-violence is the only venue that can solve our problems".

"I am coming both to learn and to teach his (Mahatma Gandhi) philosophy. I understand that many bad things happened 55 years ago, but the attempt to get justice by revenge accomplishes nothing," he is quoted to have said by the daily.

He said he learned that from his grandfather when he was just a boy in South Africa and thought of revenge in retaliation to the apartheid and humiliation there.

"I've dedicated my life to explain to people how damaging prejudices can be, and how to form better relations. That is the basis of non-violence. Relations must be based on love, understanding and honour, not on negative foundations," Gandhi said.

"I will tell the Palestinians that it is their responsibility to change. If the Israelis do not want to listen, it does not mean we cannot act," Gandhi said.

He also told the daily that he would convey to the Palestinians that the essence of violence is that each side justifies it by saying the other side started.

"The question is who is more intelligent (to stop using violence) and who has more power to change. I think the Palestinians have a chance to be more intelligent and not act like the Israelis."

The Ramallah group is said to have established ties with Palestinians for peace and democracy in the US, headed by Mohammed al Atar, in order to launch a "creative way of resistance".

Terry Boulata, principal of a private school in Abu Dis and a major anti-fence activist, is said to be the link between al-Atar and the Ramallah group.

The fence is said to separate Boulata's home from her place of work and from her husband's family.

"The struggle is our right, but we must be creative," she told Ha'aretz.

The organisers intend to bring thousands to the rallies and record the talks with Gandhi. "We want to organise a Palestinian peace camp to explain to Israel and the world that our freedom is the key to peace," Boulata said.

British Judeofascism --a primer:

BNP's Slim Victory
by Justin Cohen - Jun 17 [2004]

Essex residents were roundly blasted this week after the BNP’s sole Jewish candidate was dramatically elected – by just 13 votes.

Pat Richardson, 58, was elected as a councillor in Epping Forest last Friday after amassing a meagre 258 votes compared with 243 to her closest rival.

In a result that stunned the local political establishment, the far right party also gained two other representatives on the district council, including Richardson’s husband.

Just 31 per cent of the eligible electorate bothered to go to the polls to select the mother of two in the Loughton Fairmead ward, despite warnings that a low turnout nationwide could hand the BNP a breakthrough.

Reading West MP Martin Salter, deputy leader of Labour’s parliamentary campaign team with responsibility for co-ordinating campaigns against the far right, said: “I bet there are a substantial percentage of the 69 per cent who did not vote that are now regretting their inaction has helped hand the BNP a seat. Staying at home and wringing your hands is not the way to halt their march.”

Richardson was this week branded as “naïve” by communal leaders for aligning herself with a party that has faced accusations of anti-semitism and Holocaust denial.

But speaking to TJ following her victory, Richardson claimed the Jewish community had “nothing whatsoever” to fear from the party and insisted she could not believe that some community members failed to understand her decision to become involved.

She said: “It will not be to their detriment. It will be for their benefit if we have any impact on the council or government. If I can make it better for people it doesn’t matter which platform I’m standing on.

“The party’s that have been around for some time can become complacent. Maybe being fresha nd new, we will try just that little bit harder.”

The new councillor, who insisted she would not refuse an invitation to speak to the local community, said she believed her candidature was not opposed by the whole community but rather “probably people who are more vocal than others”.

And asked whether she was proud to be Jewish, she said: “I suppose I must be. I havnt hidden the fact I’m Jewish.”

Richardson – who celebrated with a barbecue with her fellow BNP councillors - revealed she had received one note from a man purporting to be Jewish whose tone was one of disappointment rather than anger.

But, she claimed, most people had offered their congratulations.

Claiming the trio of BNP councillors were now thrashing around ideas about how to make the area better, Richardson reeled off a number of areas she hoped to tackle including green spaces, schools and law and order.

Michael Heavens, the current leader of Epping Forest district council, said: “We were shocked at the BNP’s success here.”

The Board of Deputies has expressed concern the BNP had polled more than 800,000 votes in the European parliament elections and gained more than three per cent of the vote in the London mayoral race.

BNP leader Nick Griffin said: “On account of having stood to more pressure than most, she has earned the respect of the people in the area and people in the party.”

"Israel's order to U.S.: Now deal with Syria and Iran"... Ariel Sharon April 2003

Unfortuneately Bush did not listen. Now look at these pieces of shit bringing in other pieces of shit to die at the hands of the GREAT AMERICAN SOLDIER. Hell, even Muhammad is rolling in his grave because his followers are such losers.
America needs to get out of the M.E. and let Israel get their land back that was stolen from them by the muslums.

Top 5 reasons to be a muslum.

1) Lie so much that gradually you and other muslums believe that it is the truth. Rest of World just laughs and wonders if they are brain dead.

2) Protesting. Since most mooslumbs are on aid of some form they can spend their time protesting crap that the average 5 year old would consider childish.

3) Cutting heads off. For some reason they get sexually aroused when they do this.

4) Forced marriage. Thanks to this setup they are able to pass on their genes. Otherwise there would be mostly jewish, christian and catholic weddings.

5) Always get to blame someone else because you never reach adulthood.
