Wait...some supporters of the Swiftvets are only Bush supporters by default.

To say Bush supporters supplied the 500K is not accurate. Pro Swiftvet people supplied the money.

Now in the case of Soros , moron.org etc they make it clear they want to remove Bush and many are Kerry supporters by default. LOL

SmearVets are not the same as MoveOn. They're much-much worse, not even in the same league.

The MoveOn people have never told lies about Bush in TV ads. And certainly not outright slander and libel like the Smearvets. They have sharply criticized him Bush but nothing like the 100% dishonest way-over-the-line smears Smearvets wage with Bushie money.

The hardest hitting MoveOn ad on TV has been the one showing Bush using family connections to get out of the draft. Lo and behold the man who did it for him spoke up yesterday proving the ad correct. At the time the ad was criticized for going over the line. In fact it was correct.

This is an issue of truth versus lies (the same type lies Bush used against McCain in 2000) not 527's in general.

Also, the rightwing PACS have been out-spending DEm PACS for decades running attack ads, for instance the NRA. Bush supported the NRA and has always supported independent groups running ads. The issue is slandering our war heros with smears, not independent ads themselves.
