The two tallest buildings in the country had been hit, but you're saying that until the pentagon was hit it didn't count?

So if they had nuked Chicago it would have been OK as long as no military targets were under attack?

I would expect a president to go out and FIND information and assess the situation.

The secret service IS NOT there to discuss national security matters.

I only bring it up again because I see people questioning Kerry's ability to command NOT based on what he did under fire, but on what he did AFTER the war.

What Kerry said after he came home was a LOT OF CRAP and I agree with the Viet Vets for their comments about it. But I haven't heard ANY proof that Kerry wasn't solid when under fire, and I have seen ON FILM what Bush was like under fire and I don't think Bush acted the way a guy that passes himself off as a war president should have acted.
