I realize that Sullivan is upset that Bush isn't going to push the most important issue to him & he has been waffling on Bush, while searching for reasons to support Kerry. The 180 degree turn around I was speaking to was that prior to the gay marriage issue, Sullivan never talked in terms like this,... <font color=blue>"The low point was obviously the Swift Boat vets, jumping like bait on the end of Karl Rove's line.... Bush.... knows how to.... deploy smears of opponents indirectly, to stoke fears of minorities.... and every other hardball tactic..... it's always been Bush's campaign mojo: divide, smear and beam...."<font color=black> I just don't recall him ever expressing that kind of POV when he was in Bush's camp.
