Like I said... I liked him when he was running for office and I took it for granted that he was living out his kennedyesc fantasies in the white house (as did most people). When he was exposed for dishonesty and for running gambits to cover it up that were victimising people who had trusted him, it was clear to me that his effectiveness as a pres was over (the whole country became a victim of his lip sucking whining) ... you can blame his enemies if you want but he gave them the rope to hang him with. I wanted him to step down immediately in 98'. He and hillary could have run the vast rwc thing into the ground and he could have remained very effective as a martyr and spokesperson for left wing causes. His presidency turned into a sick joke and his legacy has turned into a long list of self indulgent wimpering. ... to bad...

"Do you mean evicted or impeached... He did leave....

Primarily I mean evicted. He was a temporary occupant of a house that was his on the basis of a social and legal contract with the American people. He was allowed to take residence on the basis of having been elected and sworn into office. His election was based on our having lent him our trust as noted by vote. When he violated our trust by lieing to us and using the authority of the oval office to cause harm to citizens he was in breech of contract. When he violated his oaths of office he further nullified the contract.

Impeachment is another matter and it was handled through the justice system.

Next Question...
