All this BS is just that - BS with short term implication.

IMHO the trade deficit will not go away any time soon and at 1% population growth and apx. 11 trillion GDP the trade deficit is about 4.5 times larger than acceptable. The deficit must shrink to below 100 billion to be in line with population growth and best shrink to ZERO.

IMHO 15% to 20% depreciation may be close to do it other argue for more.
