If a division II school decides to schedule a division I school in football, should they get a 14 point spot? No. Frankly, I would imagine the div II school would resent the thought of it, as would most olympians.

Of course they would but that's why a Division II school plays other Division II schools, and not Division I schools. Its why there are divisions in the first place........a recognition that the playing field is not level.

As it stands now, the only real competition at the Olympics is among 10 countries at the most. The rest are there mostly as a matter of national pride.

My comments were not intended to do some social engineering but rather to make the games truly competitive.

In any case, no one is complaining so there is no point worrying about it.
