Not really. Another thing I've noticed hiking here in Utah that predates Bush by a long time - as you hike through the second-growth forests, that have some fairly impressively large trees, every now and again you come across an ENORMOUS mossy stump, as big as you see in some of the coastal redwood forests that have been saved in CA. It's then when you realize what's been lost. There really isn't any old growth left in a lot of the west. Just pockets here and there
