Bush really has played the thing nicely, defending Kerry when leaving Kerry to spin in the wind would really profit him. It was a masterful move. When leftist groups like morons.org and ACK assaulted him, he just let them whine because he knew there was nothing against him. It was at that time that Kerry should have taken the moral high road and scorned the groups. It would have defused a lot of the Swifty attacks because Kerry would have been on record as being against the groups on principle. Now, he looks like a weak hypocrite, whining only when the pain comes for him.
