I'm sure GW wanted to convey that message but evidently it didn't come across that way. Possibly one of tonight's speakers will reference this AM's remark & make Bush's intent perfectly clear.

I agree with TideGlider.

We are in a new world with a new kind of war. It is unwinnable in the old traditional sense. There will be no victory; there will be no surrender; there will be no post war tribunals.

This unwinnable war will have to be fought unconventionally and with rules made up as we go along.

In that sense, George Bush spoke the real truth, a truth that cuts to the heart of the issue, a truth that everyone understands except a wanna be vice president and his four month Vietnam hero who is turning out to be less than heroic.
