When Fonda or Kerry said the mission was wrong, then they undermined the mission. Soldiers there who felt they were helping are portrayed as being "baby killers" and spat upon at their return. His comments clearly give a negative view of US soldiers. And then he endangered their lives by encouraging the enemy. Kerry would have been better off not mentioning Vietnam.
