Bush means we cannot beat Al Qaida. It will never end. That's just not true. You can beat Al Qaida by carrot and stick approaches. First you have to be resolute about kill Al Qaida leaders, not withdrawing from Afghanistan and starting a new war elsewhere. Second, gradually removing the principal catalysts; making peace in Israel (tough but possible, CLinton almost succeeded), getting us off Arab oil (Bush leading us down the opposite route) and showing we are selfless in Iraq (who knows what the neocons really want there? They never tell us.) One thing's for sure, Kerry needs to be president if we're going to turn the corner in Iraq and on terrorism. Getting rid of Bush will have a sudden global impact and pacify much of the rage being directed against the US now.
