"I trace most of our problems in the Islamic world to our outright favorable treatment of Israel. "

I have thought about that. It is a legitimate question. I have come to a different conclusion. The real battle is not Israel and Islam. The real battle is Islam vs. Islam. The borders of Islam bleed. Everywhere Islam interfaces with the rest of the world there is violence. In Indonesia there is violence. In the Phillipines there is violence. In Russia there is violence. A video of the reporters was broadcast by Al-Jazeera television hours after France insisted it would go ahead with the ban when schools open Thursday.

Yes J Chris - it is only Israel that causes trouble with radical Islamists - open your blind eyes to the realities of the world. They are now after their French protectors. Why not - after all the Spanish caved - they think they can change the policies of the world. Yes J. Chris - you are a fool if you think it is Isreal that is the problem. Open your blind eyes! And I hope the Jewish people open theirs to the agenda of the democratic left!

"I appeal to the French people to go to the streets ... because our lives are threatened," journalist Georges Malbrunot said in English on the video. Speaking in French, fellow hostage Christian Chesnot called on French President Jacques Chirac and his government to drop the ban, according to the Al-Jazeera newsreader, who interpreted his remarks into Arabic.
