My version of this wouldn't have been as good. Hog on Ice blog. Advice for RNC Bloggers WAKE UP I have been checking some of the sites of bloggers who were invited to the RNC. I have some brief advice. STOP ACTING LIKE TOURISTS. They finally decided to treat you like journalists, AND YOU'RE POSTING PHOTOS OF YOURSELVES POSING WITH CELEBRITIES. Do you think Tom Brokaw would last long if all he did was say, "WOW, here I am with TOM DASCHLE! COOL!"? WRITE SOMETHING, or next time they'll put you at a special kiddie table. I know it's cool to be at the convention, but no one wants to read about that. Interview someone, for God's sake. Corner Al Franken and exacerbate his perspiration problem. Please, before you make us all look like schmucks. I'll bet the bloggers who practice law will do the best work. They'll know how to present themselves so they don't come off like kids on spring break. They own jackets and ties. And lawyers know how to walk into a room and talk to perfect strangers with confidence. The rest of you, shape up.
