What in the world are you talking about? Abu Ghraib is one of those anomalies of war that happens. Always has, probably always will. But it certainly is not something to characterize the entire war effort with.

CJ, To explain that would require more than a sentence or two.

It's not that hard. All he has to do is explain that he went, he fought, he saw some bad stuff, and he came back protesting because of his conscience.

Instead, he leaves his anti-war record as an "exercise for the reader," knowing that his base of support will give him the benefit of the doubt, and hoping that the "swing voters" won't notice too much.
