Look, I don't pretend to understand one whit about what is going on in the ME but how can Israel be buds with Iran? From what I've heard lately, if Iran succeeds in the next few months or years in enriching its own uranium and plutonium, the big fear is that it will give it to a group like Hezbollah. The other things I've heard are rumblings that Israel may try and bomb the facilities (which are apparently well scattered and near heavily populated areas) in Iran before Iran succeeds. Granted that none of this makes much sense, all in all the US taxpayer is footing the bill for the ME's power grab. That's nice. This is the kind of bs that leads a country to want to be an island.
