From Hack on the FOOL Delos Smith from the conference board was just on cnbc... extremely bearish. commodities were his theory for weakness. very bearish. (they yanked him off pretty fast, needless to say). he said the administration had called and asked for leaks, they wouldn't give it. he said wait till winter, when people see the heating oil prices. a mild winter we'd muddle throuhg, a tough winter will be the final blow to the consumer. having to choose between staying warm or spending money on consumer trinkets. -hack
