No, the godless left wing radicals are the people you see on the Streets of New York, and you can hardly call them mainstream Democrats.

The modern Democratic party is much more centrist than earlier incarnations, at least in the economic sense. FDR's Democratic party, which ironically Zell Miller praises, were true left wingers who implemented social reforms that lasted for decades, and even persist today, like Social Security, 40-Hour Work Week, Overtime, etc. Now, we have the NAFTA Democrats and other big business policies coming from the Dems. Which is one of the reasons your side is winning so many elections in recent years. The Democrats have lost their economic populism. Now, people in Middle America have no reason to vote Democratic on economic issues; elections are decided on social issues, and Dems usually lose those debates. Zell Miller is really a Republican who is a DINO, Democrat in Name Only. It's more or less his tradition as a Democrat that keeps him being one. But, when he votes Republican and give their keynote speech, what is Democratic about the guy? Wacky!
