I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't since you have kept yourself absorbed in frivolous issues such as the SwiftBoat ad. I dare you to go back & count the number of posts of the swift boat ads between you & I & see who has been absorbed. The impact of $50 oil, which was what, a week ago, is that my local gas prices are currently $1.68 a gallon. Chinu, since my days of starting to work, I have wholly discounted Social Security. I have adjusted my savings plans to reflect that belief that no Social Security will be available when I retire. I think that is a prudent plan. Is it news to me? Nah, I think there have been 3 administrations in office since I have been employed. Social Security has been a topic of all 3 and it has all been bad news. You cannot attribute something like that to one President. It is a function of Congress and how they steal from that system.
