If actual Govt services were based on actual supply and demand rather than thinking somebody else paying for everything, people would scream about the need to cut just about everything. Only people that are not required to pay to the point of pain scream that you can't cut even the most ridiculous of programs. A flat percentage tax that would punish everybody equally for overbloated Govt services would even have the lower middle class screaming for needed cutbacks on Govt spending.
