What was amazing about Edwards remark is the fact that a large % of the Democrat's voting base are completely against U.S. presence in Iraq. They foolishly want the troops brought home ASAP. Those voters will stay home on election day. Kerry/Edwards should not attempt a rambo like position on Iraq. Their base doesn't agree with that stance.

Bush says we can't win the war. That's just untrue.
But now he says we will win it. That's untrue too.
The only true statement is that we CAN win it, if we do things right and work closely with every single ally we can get working with us. Another thing we can't do is invade every country that dislikes us. Iraq alone was too much to bite off by ourselves, as time has told.
