Fine then, tell me exactly what makes Zell Miller a Democrat in 2004? He doesn't vote with the Democratic party. He doesn't attend their convention. He's the keynote speaker at the Republican party. He might as well do what Jeffers of Vermont did and just become an independent, because he's not a member of the Democratic party, despite his label.

BTW, Terry McCauliffe is hardly a radical. He's about as business-minded a Democrat as you'll see. Geeze, if you guys can't stand the modern Democratic party, then you'd be apalled at what real Democrats were like back in FDRs day (the ones Zell Miller praises in his book?!?). Those were real liberals. They passed real laws that challenged the powers that be. Today's Democrats are just Republican-lite corporate drones.
