Only Bush didn't invade in 1979-1988, did he? WMD's 20 years ago don't count. Why did Bush stop the UN inspections when they were finally getting almost complete access in Iraq?

Because of Vietnam we took a covert war approach. Ford(Rumsfeld/Cheeny), Carter (can you believe it) and Reagan, all were involved in that approach. Wolfowitz has stated that we need to stay away from that approach. The first Gulf war under Bush the elder, allowed Clinton to make his military campaigns. Wolfowitz's strategy is to overtly promote democracies, not back one evil over another. I agree with that policy. I agree with any policy that supports our interests with Israel.
