Soros didn't choose his timing of his short due to deficit spending. He chose the war time because he thought it would cause a world wide dumping...of course after his lead. ;)

He failed and got louder and louder.

1400 billion goes out in mandatory entitlement programs every year at the expense of being able to defend ourselves.

We spend more on defense than the next 30 countries COMBINED! And yet we are ceding city after city in Iraq to the insurgents. And not only that, our troops are getting killed at the rate of 2 every day.
