Most of us do NOT believe Kerry helped end the Vietnam War. Speak for yourself...you're not the majority.

I have heard that the Viet Cong had planned on signing a peace treaty, but they changed their mind when they saw the anti-war reaction in the US. The draft was the big mistake. The next was not limiting the mission. Why did we pull out of the Saigon? Seems like we could have held that forever. Anyway, I think there needs to be a better way to debate the merits of war than the way we do. Twice Congress passed bills for action in Iraq and after less than 2 weeks into it desention started. The enemy saw that and started to use it in their favor. The UN had a presence and they got the head killed in a bomb blast and they pulled out. Don't bother going if one isn't committed.
