They beat themselves. Richards had been an okay State Treasurer, but really won her first term because the IDIOT the Republicans ran against her was SO BAD (Clayton Williams -- who actually said, during the course of the campaign, about rape: "as long as it's inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it". What an idiot).

Gore blew the debates. Plain and simple. I found Bush's debating skills to be horrible. Hopefully, they'll be better this time.

I supported Bush even though I personally felt Gore out-debated him. Why? Because there are many people who have great ideas but have a difficult time articulating them. Bush's steadfastness is impressive, and is the reason Kerry will be defeated.

You mentioned you're supporting Kerry. I'm curious as to why someone who claims to be open-minded would do that? He clearly cannot take a stand and has problems with honesty. These, in my mind, are two of the most important attributes of a president, and are the areas in which Bush excels compared to Kerry. All this talk about 30 years ago is basically immaterial to the decision, IMO.
