Tort issues are a secondary problem in society.
Remember also, that GOP sides with big corporations which are trying to get out of paying for wrongs they do to people. I am someone who was once terribly wronged by a major company. Even though I had a strong case it was hard to find any trial lawyer (litigator) and when I did I had to pay $500 an hour. The corporations are insured and have deep pockets so they always have the upper hand. The little guy rarely gets any justice versus big corps. We need our right to sue them. Only the strongest cases will be rewarded. Most settle. If the insurer sees a frivolous case, they will fight it.
