My point, E, was that I agree that both represent an Authoritarian point-of-view (informed by a religious doctrine, leaning to Theocracy to enforce it's tenents)... fundamentally at odds with traditional American freedoms.

This should be very simple to understand. The Taliban hurt people. Any religion that hurts people is not a valid religion.
